It is almost time! The insulting emails have been going back and forth and everyone is jockying for position! Harold can't make it this trip - somthing to do with his wife Rachelle and an anniversary or birthday or something. Handre can't make it - he says "SHIT", but he will be watching the blog. Cam, and Andreas also declined this fall. Kent wanted to know whether he should bring his road bike or dirt bike... looks like this trip will be the road bike kind of trip.

We may have fewer vehicles this time. Brad and Blaine are driving with Big Air Jim, and Rene is going with Kent. Al will be coming down from Vernon, and I will be driving ourselves. Gerry has a new rack on his van, and I believe he and Eddy will be driving together. Mike is leaving Wednesday Morning and Ross is already there, but may be leaving shortly into our trip.
I have to be back at work on Saturday September 13, so will have to leave on the Thursday - so I decided I would take a few extra days up front. I will probably leave tomorrow, Monday August 31. Ross says he has lots of room at his condo..

I have my van all packed - well - I did. The wind came up enough to entice me out. It wasn't great sailing, but I did get a few good runs on my big board and sail. A nice easy warm up!

Shortly after posting this blog, I got this reply from Mike. Looks like there were a few of us that got out today.
Well here is some pre trip fill in Blaine Harold Rene and I were at Brads cabin today. No Brad. (Renovating). Alex showed up late but actually got the strongest wind thunder squall. While we sat in the hot tub quaffing coronas planning her rescue should she get fried there was a lot of concern 6.6 for the boys. Alex 5.5. I went for 12 mt kite. Not stelar but palatable and we got wet. Should have been there.
